On Saturday 16 November about 15 of our members and some supporters ran the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle in Kangaroo Flat and cooked up a storm. About 430 sausages in bread were sold, about 15kgs of onions cooked and about 100 drinks sold. It was a fantastic effort by the team and together they raised over $1400 for our station. But there was so much more to the day than the money raised to help keep the lights on. The team had great conversations with community members about Phoenix FM and it was also a great team-building exercise.
A special thanks to Eileen, Miriam and Mehgan who spent a few hours on Friday neck deep in onions in preparation for the big day.
