“Best Station Fundraising Campaign (Small Station)” Award CBAA

The 2022 Community Broadcasting Association of Australia Awards were
announced Saturday 29th October at the CBAA Conference Gala Dinner in
Cairns. 

Phoenix FM had four finalist nominations and were delighted to win
“Best Fundraising Campaign, Small Station – 2021 Inaugural Radiothon
campaign.


The other finalists were:
Station Leadership: Phoenix FM President, Mr Samual Harrison
Outstanding Small Station:  Phoenix FM
Excellence in Indigenous Broadcasting:  Phoenix FM – Koori Shoutout


Phoenix FM entered nine categories all up with the other five nominations
being:

Excellence in Music Presentation – World Music Safari – Sounds from Other
lands – Presented by Dawn Delaney
Contribution to Australian Music – The Crimson Palace presented by Miss M

Best Radio Program – Talk – The Crimson Palace presented by Miss M
Best Radio Program – Music – The Crimson Palace presented by Miss M
Best New Radio Program – Monday Music and Musing presented by Anne
Conway
Outstanding Small Station – Phoenix FM


Anne Conway, from Phoenix FM said “We are very proud of all our entries but
of course there can only be one winner and there is always next year and we
encourage all our presenters and technicians to consider their program for
nomination next year – as the old saying goes “you have to be in it to win it” 
We congratulate the winners who are spread across Australia – this shows the
reach and power of the community radio sector.
