Phoenix FM achieved finalist status in two categories of the 2024 Community Broadcasting Association of Australia Awards:
Excellence in Disability Content and Engagement – Phoenix FM
Outstanding Technical Contribution – Peter Williams
The Excellence in Disdability Content and Engagement nomination was submitted to highlight the diversity of program content and the people who present these programs, many of whom have varying degrees of ability.
Phoenix FM’s technical guru, Peter Williams was nominated for an Outstanding Technical Contribution Award in recognition of his work since Phoenix FM’s earliet times and was largely responsible for the update to our Studio 1.
Phoenix FM submitted seven nominations which were amongst over 300 lodged in 20 different categories from all around Australia.
The CBAA has said that “the submissions showcased the passion, creativity and dedication that drives the vibrant community broadcasting sector”.
