Phoenix FM broadcast live for five hours from the Murran Dhelk Indigenous Football Netball Carnival on Sunday 16 October 2016. It was very cold and the windy sometimes almost blew us away but we persevered and had a lovely time.
Phoenix FM members who took part on the day were Bill Whitbread, Anne Conway, Sue Tuitupou, Peter Williams, Craig Whan, Tanya Jones and Skye Anderson.
We also gained a new young presenter as the afternoon went on – Izzy Tuitupou! Izzy, despite his tender years was not shy either on or off the microphone and it was he who approached Western Bulldogs player Jake Stringer and brought him over for an interview.
The rest of us were too shy to do that.
