Tanya Jones, Presenter of SportsVox on Phoenix FM recently interviewed legendary former Test fast bowler Merv Hughes who will be inspiring the young cricketing talent of Bendigo this summer, when he heads up the coaching panel for the SBCC Country Cricket Clinics.
Merv played 53 Tests for Australia and 33 ODI’s. He was a key member of the Australian team of the 80’s & 90’s which dominated world cricket. He will be remembered for his Test Hattrick and lion hearted bowling spells where he collected 212 Test wickets. His consistent community and charity work along with regular appearances on national TV see Merv as one of SBCC’s most popular coaches.
The camp will be held at Shadforth Park, North Bendigo on Thursday the 21st & Friday the 22nd of January 2021, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day.
