WINNER! November 2017 CBAA (Community Broadcasting Association Of Australia) Best New Program – Music.
World Music Safari – Sounds From Other Lands is an award winning two hour program every Sunday 11am-1pm hosted and curated by Dawn Delaney, playing eclectic music from the world’s melting pot of cultures, both old and new, from all corners of the globe.
You’ll hear everything from 1960s French pop, sounds from the African continent (all 54 countries), North, Central and South America, lots of Brazilian musical goodness, Caribbean cool, Middle Eastern beats, global folk, soul & RnB, First Nations music from all over, and soooo much more. Visit all 215 countries (give or take) from Afghanistan and Algeria to Zambia and Zimbabwe and all stops in between. Take a musical sojourn around the globe and still be home in time for lunch.
All my playlists and YouTube videos of featured artists can be found at:
The show’s theme song is by Japanese violinist and viola player, Chieko Kinbara, with vocals by Swedish singer Joslyn.
